Courtnay & Jonny

Papamoa Beach Wedding // Bay of Plenty, New Zealand

You know those weddings that truly feel like two families coming together to create an incredible unique day? Well Courtnay & Jonny’s wedding was straight up that plus a whole lot more awesome. Spread out over the Easter weekend so cherished family and friends from around the world could make it, they filled the Papamoa campgrounds with joy, laughter, teamwork, epic fish and chip orders and straight out of a magazine decorating skills.

The beach ceremony styling was to die for beautiful.  The toitoi & lace adorned archway perfectly framing the rolling waves of the pacific ocean behind them as they said I do.  They relaxed the norms of wedding etiquette having the bridal party walking up the isle as a group and fully embraced the beach vibes with the bride and groom kicking off their shoes to get married with the soft warm sand between their toes.

The thought, care and collaboration that went into the details of Courtnay & Jonny’s day is a testament to the love and kindness these two radiate as people and in their partnership. It was so much fun hanging out with this rad couple and all the crazy cool people who know and love them.  Did I mention that the bridal party also choreographed and perfected a group first dance performance in two days?! Genius!

These are the kind of wedding days I want to photograph over and over again because there is loveliness to be captured around every corner.  If you have a scroll you’ll see what I mean 😉
